Smith Pivlock V90 Sunglass.
Smith Pivlock V90 Sunglass revolutionised sunglasses when they introduced the interchangeable lens, and now theyAAAve done it again by creating the PIVLock V90 Sunglasses. This rimless, ultralight pair of sunglasses features detachable hanging temple arms and removable bridge piece that suddenly snap on and off to accommodate one of the three included lenses when lighting situations turn. The one-piece carbonic TLT lenses highlight a sweat-seal hydro coating to resist condensation as well as oils, and the hydrophilic nose and pantheon pads present a secure fit in any conditions.

Pros and Cons of Smith Pivlock V90 Sunglass.
I bought Smith Pivlock V90 Sunglass as there are no frame rims, which obstruct my field of view when riding in the “aero position” (leaning forward with curves in the aero bars). Other labels of glasses, no matter how cold, have framed rims that block my field of view when I ride in the aero situation. I would have to either crane my head upward to get a field of view (pain in the neck) or else accept the top frame rim of the glasses obstructing my view of the road ahead.
These glasses are a pleasure and even more so due to their variation in interchangeable/removable lenses. Diverse other styles because requiring popping or unlocking of sorts, these lenses detach the lens from the frame at the hinge itself – performing the swap from the sunny day lens to the dark day lens or the clear lens easier and quicker than anything I’ve used yet! Bravo! Five stars!!!!!
I’ve tried a lot of various brands to find the perfect sports related sunglasses, and these finally fit the bill. I run marathons and do the triathlon and need a good set of proposals that run and bike well without having to complain about them too enough. Swapping eyeglasses are cake, and the lenses themselves have been awesome and reasonably durable as well. My three favourite things about these glasses are:
1. The frameless lens is of particular importance on a tri bike when you’re in an offensive position so much comfortable to see up the road without the top of the structure getting in the way.
2. Excellent coverage. One I slide these babies on it takes all of about 15 seconds for me to forget I’m exhausting them as the coverage is complete with no light leakage. They protect well from wind and rain and become part of you after awhile. They’re light enough also, so I don’t even notice them.
3. Who stay in a dark sweater gravely, and these things stay glued to my face. The rubber used on the temple grips, and the nosepiece works well in putting the glasses from skating around, and I find myself adjusting them only occasionally, which is nice when you’re working out.
If that wasn’t enough, I lately lost my first couple after a bike ride one nighttime and was online the very next daylight ordering the same pair…I like them Smith Pivlock V90 Sunglass much.
I cycle about 23-27 hours a week and wear glasses as not only protection against the sun, but protection from objects such as bugs, etc. I have utilised Oakley Radar sunglasses for a considerable amount of time, but they fail me in one of my needed missions. I’m an avid time trial competitor, and when I compete on my time trial bike, I utilise a Kask helmet with a pull-down visor. Hence I do not need sunglasses when I am racing. When I am training on my time trial bike, however, I always find myself looking at the top rim of the Oakleys when in the aggressive TT position on my aero bars. The Smith Pivlock glasses are perfect for that mission. I now have an unobstructed, very comfortable view of the road when riding in that competitive, flat back position.
The lens can be changed in seconds between the three sets of supplied lenses, and the glasses and spare lenses/extra nose piece come in a nice, stable, large, very protective, zippered case. If I have one criticism about the glasses, it would be that in the hot, humid weather of the Florida summer, I seem to sweat under these glasses – something that I do not do with my Oakleys. Perhaps it is just a function of my face geometry.
The glasses are incredibly light (1 oz on my postal scale) hence very comfortable to wear. These are probably the best sports glasses out there, and at about half the price of the Oakleys, you cannot go wrong. Also, after searching the web, I found the best price to be right here on Amazon.
