MOTOROLA XOOM Android Tablet (10.1-Inch, 32GB, Wi-Fi)
While searching for the best Android tablet, I often found myself stumbling upon gadgets that excelled in some aspects, but gave me tiny to look forward to in others; all this went on until I found the Motorola XOOM Android tablet 10.1.
This device is probably your best option if you want a tablet that, although it doesn’t excel in any particular way, also doesn’t have any significant drawbacks. At a decent price, it comes with a relatively fast processor, a stable connection, as well as a compelling operating system.
-The tablet has a dual core processor with each of its cores running at a speed of 1 Ghz. This may not be the greatest speed, but, when you use the XOOM, you will realize that, unless you want to run some pretentious 3D games, it will run quite well.
-Besides the internal 32 Gb memory, which is a plus when compared to many other tablets that only come with 16 Gb, you also have the option of adding a micro SD card. I’m always downloading or transferring things, so the fact that I don’t have to worry about running out of space is something I liked about this tablet.
-I was also delighted to see that the two cameras work quite well and that it was very easy to try out the video chat feature on Google Talk with the front-facing two mp cam. The five mp camera can also be handy when I want to take some quality photographs.
What Are the Best Features of the MOTOROLA XOOM Android Tablet 10.1?
-It has to be understood first of all that this is not necessarily the best Android tablet on the market regarding extra features, but for me, its quality build and excellent flexibility are far more important than all the flashy features that come with the tablets that are twice as expensive as this one.
-I’m not a computer game enthusiast, but I do enjoy watching a good movie now and then to relax after a long day at work. The Motorola XOOM offers me this possibility with its elegant, smooth display. Also, I love the fact that I can easily connect it to my HDTV.
-The operating system has a lot to offer, particularly as it can be upgraded. Browsing is quite easy, and what I liked is that you can use five different home screens, and customize them to your heart’s content.
-One of the few things I don’t like about the Motorola XOOM Android tablet is that it is 2 or 3 times heavier than other tablets. This isn’t much of an issue, however, since it still is light enough to be easily portable.
-Also, the unit can’t be charged through USB. While it does have a micro USB port, it can only be used for data transfer.
Even though the Motorola XOOM Android tablet 10.1 is not the best Android tablet in the world, I have found it to be reliable and quite easy to use, its many useful features and overall functionality being well worth the investment.
