Blue Air Filter

Blue Air Filter air purifier review page, this is an excellent company. You can expect a company that is this good to provide quality products that meet not the only the expectations of the customer, but also the requirements of the U.S. government. Let me state they are AHAM certified and have a great energy start rating on their products.

The great comments don’t all fall on the air purifier, but also on the blue air filter that they make individually for each blue air cleaner. They are made to fit the blue air models correctly so no air can escape around the sides so that it misses filtration and ends up clogging the fan and spitting back into your air again. It is very important that you research to find out the real facts about design as well as performance because you may find hidden problems after you start using air purifiers.

Types of Blue Air Filters

You will find only two types of air filters that blue air makes and they are both made very well. One is the blue air HEPA air filter and the other is a charcoal air filter that is usually found in charcoal air purifiers. You can choose between a couple of them because the machine holds three air filters at a time. Of course, they come in packs of 3 as well. You can mix and match between HEPAsilent air filters that have a small amount of carbon, particle air filters with HEPA in them and Smokestop Air filters that are made to stop just that!

Above we have front and back pictures of Blueair particle air filters that supposed to be “True HEPA”, but are even better! These blue air HEPA air filters remove 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns. True HEPA air filters are rated to remove 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. I am not sure if this meets ULPA standards, but anything that is better must be acknowledged for over-delivering to their customers.

With this type of air filtration, you will be able to stop dust, dust mites, mold spores, pollen, pet dander, bacteria, viruses and some hazardous VOCs. It truly has a full spectrum of air pollution capturing skills.

The air filters above are charcoal air filters that are used for a particular purpose. Activated Carbon (Charcoal) can absorb smells and odors from the air. The smell of smoke, wet dog, dirty clothes, and a stinky garbage can all be captured with activated carbon. An air freshener does smell good, but it does not eliminate odors like it says. It plainly is stronger than the perfume smell, so you feel that instead.

The thing with these charcoal air filters is the fact that many companies just give you a sprayed on coating of it to a think strip. I don’t have to tell you that it gets filled up pretty quickly, and you can’t just wash the odors out of the carbon. Once it is full, you need a new one. Blueair charcoal air purifiers give you up to 5lbs of this in a pellet form, which is best.

It is placed in a frame just like a HEPA air filter. You can just imagine how long that is going to last. In most applications, 6 months is pretty easy for it to do unless you have some super dangerous odors! Now you know you should respect blue air filters when you think about purchasing something cheap.

The last type of air filter that blue air makes is a blue air he a silent air filter. You see the word HEPA, but yet again it is the “True HEPA” air filter that I have talked about. It is a version that is cheaper. They only sell these in a couple of their machines, and it is not very popular.

The reason they went for a less air filtration in this model is the fact that they added a little bit of activated carbon to the filter as well. It then becomes an HEPA-like air filter with activated carbon.

Blue Air Filter Reviews

Below, you will find quality reviews of blue air filters. Each one has a particular purpose as I have explained above. It depends on what your air purification goals are for, which one you plan to choose. Remember you can always mix and match them since you have three air filters per air purifier.
